Picture Week Info

What you need to know:

  • Pictures will be taken during your student's regular class time.
  • Please arrive with proper shoes and tights (see list below) and hair and make-up (optional) done.
  • Please bring "dance" clothes as we will have class as time allows.
  • No parents will be allowed in the room where pictures are being taken.  No exceptions.
  • We will have your student's costumes ready for pictures however, they are to remain at the studio.  Please see HDC newsletter for costume release date.
  • All Hero Twirlers, Hero Dancers and Assistants will have your pictures taken on Wednesday.  Please refer to the schedule e-mailed to you last week for times.  Heroes will need to bring their grey cardigan, Hero sponsor shirts and black bottoms.  Please bring any solo costumes you want to be photographed in.

  • Monday 4:30 Tap/Jazz - Tan Tights, Tan Tap Shoes and Tan Jazz Shoes (or Pink Ballet Shoes)
  • Monday 5:30 Ballet - Pink Tights and Pink Ballet Shoes *NO JAZZ SHOES PLEASE
  • Monday 7:00 - Tan Tights and Tan Jazz Shoes
  • Tuesday 4:30 Tap/Jazz - Tan Tights, Tan Tap Shoes and Tan Jazz Shoes (or Pink Ballet Shoes)
  • Tuesday 5:30 Hip Hop - Tan Tights and Tennis Shoes (or Jazz Shoes)
  • Tuesday 5:30 Tap/Jazz - Tan Tights, Tan Tap Shoes and Tan Jazz Shoes
  • Tuesday 6:30 Tap/Jazz - Tan Tights, Tan Tap Shoes, Tan Jazz Shoes and a Nude Colored Body Liner

2015 HDC Spring Show Information

Dress Rehearsal - Liberty Performing Arts Theater
Wednesday, May 20th     Arrive @ 5:30 pm     Rehearsal Begins @ 6:00 pm

  • Dressing Rooms will be back stage.  Please follow signs.
  • All students may watch Dress Rehearsal from the audience and are encouraged to stay for the entire rehearsal (approx. 2 hours).
  • One Rehearsal ticket will be provided per family for assistance with costume changes.
  • Parents/Guardians are responsible for helping their students with costume changes.  NO MALES WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE GIRLS DRESSING ROOM.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Costumed performers will not need a rehearsal ticket.
  • Lost or forgotten tickets will NOT be replaced free of charge.
  • Dress Rehearsal is a closed practice.
  • No parents will be allowed backstage.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Rental costumes MUST be returned to the bag with your student's name and left in the dressing room.

Dress Rehearsal - Liberty Performing Arts Theater
Thursday, May 21st     Doors Open @ 5:30 pm     Showtime @ 6:00 pm

  • Dressing room attendants will be provided for your students to help with costume changes so that you may enjoy the show.
  • 2 show tickets will be provided to each family.  A parent or guardian must come into the studio to sign for the tickets.
  • Additional tickets will be available at the dance center beginning May 4th for $8.00 each.  We have sold out in the past so please plan ahead.
  •  Lost or forgotten tickets will NOT be replaced free of charge.
  • No costumed performers will be allowed in the auditorium before or during the show.
  • No parents will be allowed back stage before or during the show.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Parents may pick up performers from the stage at the conclusion of the show finale.
  • Video cameras are not allowed for the show.  We will be offering a professional DVD of the performance which will be available for purchase.
  • Rental costumes MUST be returned to the bag with your student's name and left in the dressing room. There will be a charge for any missing costumes or costume pieces.

General Information

  • Recital Costumes, Order of the Show, Attire and Tickets will be sent home the week of May 11th.  Parents will need to come in and sign for them.

Summer Session, Camp and Fall Enrollment Information

  • Summer Session (June 29th - July 2nd) and Beach Beauties and Surfer Dudes Camp (July 7th - July 9th) enrollment will open on April 13th.  Beach Beauties and Surfer Dudes Camp is open to children ages 4 - 10 years old.  Ask about a discount for enrolling in both Summer Session & Camp.
  • Fall Enrollment opens April 13th.  Enroll before May 11th and receive $10.00 off your registration fee.
  • Enroll and pay for Beach Beauties and Surfer Dudes Camp by May 11th and receive free fall registration.
