Calendar of Events:

May 22nd & 23rd – 25th Anniversary Show
July 9th - Summer Classes Begin

Recital Information:

Dress Rehearsal - Park Hill High School Auditorium
Wednesday, May 22nd - Arrive @ 5:30 pm - Rehearsal Begins @ 6:00 pm

Spring Show - Park Hill High School Auditorium
Thursday, May 23rd - Doors Open @ 5:30 pm - Showtime @ 6:30 pm

Costumes:

Costumes will be sent home the week of May 14th.  All tuition and outstanding balances must be paid before your child will receive his/her costume.  If you are not sure what you owe, then please be sure to check with the office staff.

Deadlines:

  • T-Shirt orders are due by Thursday, May 9th.
  • DVD prices go up after May 9th.
  • Flower and Apple order forms will be accepted until May 16th.
  • Last day for the $10.00 off registration fee is May 16th.

Schedule Change:

Due to the rehearsal and show, we are making a slight schedule change.

All students in the Wed. 4:30 class and the Thurs. 5:30 class, please come on Monday, May 20th at 5:30 pm.

All Twirl and Dance Heroes, please come Monday, May 20th at 7:00 pm.

Summer and Fall Enrollment:

Enrollment packets were distributed with your recital packets.

Summer Classes Begin July 9th.
Fall Classes Begin August 19th.

Priority Registration - April 15th - May 16th for current students.

Look for your $10 off registration fee coupon in your packets.

We have NEW enrollment forms this year.  ALL forms must be returned with your registration fee to be confirmed in your classes.  1 student information form & class selection form is needed for each student. 1 payment form is needed per family.  The registration fee is charged per family.

Anyone interested in Dance or Twirl Heroes will need to let us know so that we can discuss the requirements.

Current Dance and Twirl Heroes are expected to turn in their enrollment by May 19th so that we may plan for the coming season.

25th Anniversary Events:

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our 25th Anniversary Party!  We are excited for you to see the 25th Anniversary Show.  There are still a few tickets available.

25 YEARS OF HDC HISTORY:

1988 – HDC opens in August.
1989 – HDC presents the 1st Talent Review in May.
1990 – Hero Dancers take 1st Place Overall at Showbiz Regional their first year competing.  Staff member Amy Josephson was on the team.
1991 – Hero Twirlers named World National Pom Pon Champions.
1992 - HDC celebrates it's 5th Anniversary.
1993 - HDC students travel to Russia and Denmark to perform.
1994 - Hero Twirlers named Missouri State Champions.
1995 - HDC Student Grace Wang receives a scholarship to Joe Tremaine's Professional training program marking the start of her professional dance career.
1996 - Heidi's Heroes travel to Ireland to participate in the St. Patrick's Week of Celebration in Limerick City.
1997 - HDC Student Leanne Farley is cast as a dancer/assistant in Kirby VanBirch's Magic Show in Branson, MO.
1998 - Hero Dancers in the Footloose National Championship with their "Sports Mix" Routine.
1999 - Heidi's Heroes travel to New York City to participate in the St. Patrick's Day Parade.
2000 - Hero Twirler Savannah Miller wins Grand National AYOP Twirling Championship.
2001 - Heidi adopts daughter Holly from Guatemala.
2002 - Amy Josephson, former member of Heidi's Heroes, joins the HDC staff.
2003 - Instructor Emily Zavala McQuillen is cast as a principal dancer in the North Hollywood Jazz Ensemble only 3 weeks after moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in dance.
2004 - HDC student and Hero dancer wins the National Title of Petite Mr. Spotlight.
2005 - HDC moves to our current location.
2006 - Savannah Miller is crowned World Twirl Champion Solo Twirler in the Netherlands.
2007 - HDC had 4 dancers receive the Tremain Dance Convention Scholarships.
2008 - HDC celebrated our 20th Anniversary.
2009 - Savannah Miller wins second World Twirling Championship in Belgium.
2010 - HDC Alum Emily Frazier lands her first professional job as an entertainer at Disney World.
2011 - Hero Dancers with the Shining Star award for their backstage behavior at Tremaine Dance for the second consecutive year.
2012 - HDC Student Jake Bjornlie wins the Dance Out National Champion Senior Soloist and Senior Mr. Dance Out.
2013 - HDC celebrates 25 years of dancing, twirling, fun and many, many fond memories.

Drop Off and Pick Up:

Parents may use the circle drive for drop off and pick up.  Please do NOT park in the drop off lane.  Please do NOT park, wait in or use private back alley.  Parents may park in upper lot and enter through Tower door entrance.   Please do NOT use upper level of the building.  If students are waiting to be picked up, we ask that they wait in the tower door entrance for their safety.

Inclement Weather Policy:

If Park Hill Schools are closed, dismiss early or cancel evening activities, the dance center will also be closed.  If weather conditions become an issue after school hours or during the evening, HDC reserves the right to cancel class or dismiss early if we deem road conditions could become unsafe for HDC students and parents.  If we have snow or ice, please check our Facebook Page or Website (www.heidisdance.com) for cancellations.  We will make every effort to post by 4:00 pm.
